The Actors’ Society

For the welfare and advancement of actors

Our Vision

Advancing the welfare of actors, and empowering actors in Singapore to thrive creatively and professionally, in the spirit of excellence and integrity.

Our Mission

The Actors’ Society is dedicated to advocating for the rights and welfare of actors, providing resources and support for professional development, and raising the standards of industry practice, in order to advance the acting profession in Singapore to an internationally competent level.

Our History

The Actors’ Society (TAS), previously known as Actors’ Guild of Singapore (AGS), was founded in 2014 as a forum for Singapore actors to gather, discuss and work together to elevate the local media industry. Even with stringent screening processes, AGS quickly grew to 380 members and pending 2000+ more. With growing demand for more to be done, AGS founding members decided to restructure and rebrand as The Actors’ Society. Working closely with the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), TAS officiated with the Registry of Societies in September 2019.
