An intimacy professional may go by many names - in An intimacy professional may go by many names - intimacy director, intimacy coordinator, or intimacy guide - but their goal is the same: to facilitate the process of performing intimate scenes safely and respectfully, both on film and on stage. At our recent talk, Rayann Condy @rayann_condy, Singapore’s first certified intimacy professional, walked us through the ideal process, from auditions to one-on-one conversations, to rehearsals and coordination behind the scenes. There was a lot of insight packed into one hour (but definitely not enough!), and we hope to plan an extended workshop with Rayann soon. Meet our speaker, Rayann Condy @rayann_condy - Sin Meet our speaker, Rayann Condy @rayann_condy - Singapore’s first certified Intimacy Coordinator with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators (USA). Having worked across film, TV and theatre as a director, casting director, producer and educator, she is able to support the diverse pressures and complexities on set. Rayann is passionate about helping actors feel safe, seen and supported when working on intimate scenes. Her mission is to pioneer intimacy and consent practices in Singapore & Southeast Asia, making care and consent part of every production.
